Yamal Iri — from the Nenets language translates as "Grandfather of Yamal" — a wizard who can be met only beyond the Arctic Circle.
It is not difficult to find out the Yamal Santa Claus. He always has a sprawling beard, a staff and a large bag with gifts, which also contains another magical instrument of the lord of the fabulous Lukomorye — a tambourine. He helps him to "mumble" bad thoughts, helps people to become stronger in spirit and kinder.
He is dressed with fabulous chic. The first thing that catches the eye is the malitsa (outerwear of the northern peoples, — approx. author). On her chest she has an ornament "deer antlers", which symbolizes stability. On the hem, as in the northern sky, the northern lights "shimmer", and a team of deer passes under it. Yagel is embroidered under the feet of animals.
